Spring Orchard Portraits at Perry Lowe Orchards
Earlier this spring, I had the joy of photographing three beautiful mothers-to-be during a dreamy, styled maternity model call at Perry Lowe Orchards, just outside of Wilkesboro, North Carolina. Nestled in the foothills of the Brushy Mountains, this family-owned orchard offered a breathtaking spring backdrop—blooming trees, mountain views, and timeless character that made each portrait feel truly magical.
Why Perry Lowe Orchards?
Located in the heart of Wilkes County, Perry Lowe Orchards is one of the most scenic gems in the region. Its wide-open spaces and rich textures make it an ideal location for maternity photography—especially during spring when the blooms are at their peak. We’re so grateful to the Lowe family for allowing us to bring this vision to life.

A Look Inside This Orchard Maternity Session
Each of these incredible women brought their own story and beauty to the orchard, and I’m so honored to have captured this season for them. Here’s a peek at each session:
Hannah
Hannah and her fiancé, Zach, were the first to arrive—and their session couldn’t have been more perfect. The trees were in full bloom, and the light was soft and golden. Watching them together was such a gift. Their excitement about becoming parents was written all over their faces, and the romantic, peaceful feel of the orchard mirrored their energy so beautifully.
Abby
Abby’s session felt so grounded and joyful. Already a mom to one little boy, she was glowing as she prepared to welcome another into her family. While the blooms had faded by the time of her session, the deep greens of the orchard created a vibrant, earthy atmosphere that paired perfectly with her soft tones. A few weeks later, I had the joy of seeing her sweet baby boy’s arrival announcement—it was such a full-circle moment!
Kristi
Photographing Kristi’s maternity portraits was especially meaningful to me. We’ve known each other since we were kids in Statesville, and she’s always had a gentle, grounding presence. Being invited into this season of her life—to capture her first maternity session—was such an honor.
Kristi’s love and calm spirit came through in every frame. She’s going to be the most amazing mom, and I can’t wait to meet her little boy soon.
