Family Photos in Taylorsville, NC | The Castillo Family

A New Home, A New Chapter

One of the most meaningful parts of being a family photographer in Taylorsville, NC is documenting milestones in the places families love most. For the Castillo family, that place was right outside their brand-new home—on the land they dreamed about, prayed over, and built together.

Megan, a dear friend of mine since childhood, reached out shortly after welcoming their newest baby. She and her husband had just finished building their forever home in Taylorsville, North Carolina—a huge accomplishment made even sweeter by this new season of life.

We planned their session at golden hour, just as the sun was dipping behind the trees that surround their property. The views were breathtaking, but more than that, they were personal. This land represents their hard work, answered prayers, and the beginnings of new memories as a family of four.

A Portrait That Carries Meaning

One of their favorite portraits from this session now hangs proudly in their living room—a framed heirloom piece featuring non-glare glass and a timeless design. It’s more than just décor; it’s a daily reminder of the season they stepped into as a family, and the beauty of home.

A Full-Circle Moment

As someone who’s known Megan since elementary school, it was such a full-circle moment to be invited into this milestone and help preserve it for them. Getting to offer family photos in Taylorsville, NC that are both deeply meaningful and beautifully tangible is why I do what I do.
